自然の中で、四季の変化を感じながら暮らしています。
冬は薪ストーブを使い、薪を割ったり、雪かきをしたり、雪国ならではの暮らしをしています。

古い建物や家具も、すぐに新しいものへ買い替えるのではなく、自分たちで修理したり、DIYやリノベーションをしながら、できるだけ長く大切に使っています。廃材や残った木材も、再利用できるものはできるだけ活用しています。

庭づくりや小さな畑、季節の植物を育てることも楽しんでいます。

また、地域の温泉や自然、地元のお店や人とのつながりを大切にしています。

子どもたちと一緒に自然の中で暮らしながら、「自分たちでできることは自分たちでやってみる」こと、新しいことを学び続けることを大切にしています。

完璧なエコライフを目指しているわけではありませんが、今あるものを生かし、自然に無理をかけすぎず、人や地域とのつながりを大切にする暮らしを心掛けています。
We live close to nature and enjoy experiencing the changing seasons.

In winter, we heat our home with a wood-burning stove, split and carry firewood, shovel snow, and enjoy the unique lifestyle of Japan’s snowy mountain regions.

Rather than immediately replacing old buildings, furniture, and other items, we try to repair, renovate, and reuse them ourselves whenever possible. We enjoy DIY projects and give new life to old materials, including leftover wood and other reusable resources.

We also enjoy gardening, growing seasonal plants and a small amount of vegetables and herbs.

We value our connection with the local community, the surrounding forests and mountains, local hot springs, and the people and businesses in our area.

While raising my children surrounded by nature, I try to teach them the importance of trying things for ourselves, taking care of what we already have, and continuing to learn new things.

We do not live a perfectly sustainable or completely organic lifestyle. Instead, we try to make thoughtful choices: using what we already have, reducing unnecessary waste, respecting nature, and valuing our relationships with people and the local community.

For us, a simple and meaningful life is about living with nature, making the most of what we have, and enjoying the process together.

私たちは、山と森に囲まれた自然豊かな場所で、四季を感じながら暮らしています。

ここで大切にしているのは、「今あるものを生かすこと」と「まず自分たちでやってみること」。古い建物を自分たちでリノベーションしたり、家具を直したり、庭をつくったり、薪を割ったり。完成した場所に住むというより、暮らしそのものを自分たちの手でつくっていくことを楽しんでいます。

春は新緑、夏は涼しい山の時間、秋は美しい紅葉、冬は一面の雪。冬には薪ストーブを焚き、雪かきをし、スキーを楽しみます。温泉も身近にあり、日本の山や雪国ならではの暮らしを体験できます。

WWOOFerには、庭仕事、DIY、リノベーション、薪づくり、季節の植物や野菜の手入れなど、その時に必要なことを一緒にしてもらいます。特別な技術や経験は必要ありません。得意なことがあれば、ぜひ私たちにも教えてください。

私たちは「働いてもらう人」ではなく、一定期間、一緒に暮らしをつくる仲間としてWWOOFerを迎えたいと思っています。一緒に作業をして、食事をして、話をして、お互いの文化や考え方を交換できたら嬉しいです。

好奇心があり、新しいことを楽しめる人、自分から動ける人、自然が好きな人、子どもやいろいろな人との交流を楽しめる人には、とても合う場所だと思います。

反対に、ホテルのようなサービスや都会の便利さを求める方、自然の中での作業や共同生活が苦手な方には、あまり向いていないかもしれません。

完璧なオーガニック生活をしているわけではありません。私たち自身もまだ学び、試し、失敗しながら暮らしています。

だからこそ、世界中から来る人たちの知識や文化、アイデアに出会えることを楽しみにしています。

We live surrounded by mountains and forests, enjoying the changing seasons and a life that is closely connected to nature.

Two ideas are especially important to us: making the most of what we already have and trying to do things ourselves. We renovate old buildings, repair furniture, create gardens, prepare firewood, and work on many DIY projects. Rather than simply living in a finished space, we enjoy creating our way of life with our own hands.

Each season is very different here. Spring brings fresh green forests, summers are pleasantly cool in the mountains, autumn is filled with beautiful colors, and winter transforms everything into a deep snowy landscape. In winter, we use wood-burning stoves, shovel snow, and enjoy skiing. There are also many hot springs nearby, so you can experience a very special side of rural and mountain life in Japan.

Depending on the season, WWOOFers may join us with gardening, DIY projects, renovation, preparing firewood, caring for seasonal plants and vegetables, and other everyday projects. You do not need any special skills or experience. And if you have a skill, idea, recipe, culture, or knowledge to share, we would love to learn from you too!

We don’t see WWOOFers simply as people who come to work for us. We would like to welcome you as part of our life and community for the time you are here. We hope to work together, share meals, talk, laugh, and exchange our cultures and ideas.

This place will probably suit you if you are curious, positive, independent, enjoy trying new things, love nature, and are comfortable interacting with children and different kinds of people.

On the other hand, it may not be the best place for someone looking for hotel-style service, city convenience, or someone who does not enjoy outdoor activities and sharing everyday life with others.

We do not live a perfectly organic or sustainable lifestyle. We are still learning, experimenting, making mistakes, and improving along the way.

That is also why we are excited to meet people from around the world and discover new ideas, skills, cultures, and ways of thinking.
