Organic Lifestyle
We have an organic attitude of sorts, but we do not go out of our way to be organic or alternative, rather, we do what suits us at the time
Example of Lifestyle (English)
Because we operate a local farmers market, we value our connections with local farmers and try to purchase ingredients directly from people we know and trust.
For meat, we hunt and process wild boar and deer from the surrounding mountains for our own meals. We also operate a licensed processing facility, which allows us to safely sell the meat to the public.
Our rice is especially delicious thanks to the mountain environment. We usually eat either fermented brown rice or white rice mixed with barley and grains.
We also run a café, where we focus on locally sourced ingredients, including coffee and seasonal regional foods. We try to prepare our meals with simple, healthy seasoning whenever possible.
Our lifestyle revolves around three main pillars: the café, gibier (wild game), and our accommodation business, while enjoying life in the mountains. We also take care of an orchard and a mountain bookstore.
We hope some of the things we love will resonate with you as well.
Diet
We usually eat vegetables and rice but we have meat and fish if we are given it
We put great effort into how to cook and what to eat
We cook various international meals
We always cook homemade meals

When we have a party or an event, we might drink with WWOOFers but these occasions are not so often

Message To WWOOFers In English
We live in a small satoyama community with a population of only 250 people. Here, everyone works together to preserve the traditional way of life and the timeless crafts and jobs of rural Japan.
In order to carry these traditions into the future, many passionate people and businesses have gathered here — including a café, accommodation, hair salon, bakery, coffee roastery, craft brewery, furniture makers, and ceramic artists. That unique mix of people and creativity is one of the greatest charms of this place.
Why not meet many wonderful people, share unforgettable moments, and create meaningful work together as part of our community?
We sincerely look forward to meeting you.
Please come and experience the true spirit of Japanese SATOYAMA.
