We grow tea in a way that is extremely rare in Japan—without fertilizers and without pesticides.
The owner of the tea garden is someone who genuinely loves people, and enjoys welcoming helpers from all kinds of backgrounds to work alongside him in the fields.
He originally worked as a company employee, but left his corporate career to pursue farming. Captivated by the breathtaking landscape, he took over a tea field that was on the verge of abandonment, with no successor to carry it on.

○About daily life
Accommodation is in a detached house at the tea garden.
Shared rooms are separated by gender, and you will sleep on futons laid out on tatami mats.
Meals are self-catered.
In May, the owner stays in the house together with the WWOOFers, but outside of May, the owner usually returns to another home, so there may be times when you stay on your own.
The location is about 45 minutes by train from Himeji, plus a 10-minute bus ride.
There are no strict rules regarding daily life.

No farming experience is required.
Weeding work is manageable even for women.
For those who would like more physically demanding work, there may also be opportunities to help with harvesting.
