We live a simple lifestyle and try to be mindful about energy use.

Meals are not provided, but basic ingredients are available. Volunteers cook for themselves, and cooking is limited to once per day. The kitchen may be used for simple cooking only. Long cooking sessions or cooking multiple times a day are not allowed.

There is a wood stove in the shared living space. In winter, please spend most of your time in the shared area. Staying in your room all day with the heater on is not suitable for this stay.

Please note that there is shower only (no bath).

Laundry should be done at the coin laundry in the building (300 yen, detergent included).

This place is best suited for people who are comfortable with simple living in nature.

We live in a small town surrounded by nature in Hokkaido. This is not a tourist area, but a place where you can experience everyday life in rural Japan.

Working hours are relatively short and you will have plenty of free time.

Within 2–3 minutes walking distance, there is a French bakery, restaurants, an izakaya, a supermarket, a post office, and a bus stop, so daily life is quite convenient.(onsen is 2.3 mins away by car)

The host is not always with the volunteers. Therefore, this stay is best suited for people who are independent and able to explore the local community, places, and people that the host introduces on their own.

We welcome people who enjoy simple living, nature, and cultural exchange.
