ようこそ、コスモイン有機園へ！
この『コスモイン有機園』という名前には、「宇宙人さえもふらっと立ち寄れるくらい人々が気軽に集う場所をつくりたい」というオーナー夫婦の願いが込められています。

2人が有機農業を始めたのは、約45年前に出会った一冊の本がきっかけでした。有吉佐和子さんの『複合汚染』です。その内容にショックを受け、家族には安心で安全なものを食べさせたい、と無農薬で有機肥料を用いた野菜作りを始めました。

有機園では循環農法を実施し、雑草や山羊の糞尿、家庭で出る生ゴミ等を利用して肥料を手作りしています。

また、ここではこだわりの有機農業を体験できるほか、当園で収穫した麦を使った味噌作りやこの地域ならではの文化体験をすることができます。

今までに15カ国以上の国々からWWOOFerが有機園を訪問してくれました。

オーナー夫婦はおしゃべりが大好きなので、訪れた際には農業のことだけではなく、いろんな話で盛り上がってくださいね！

この45年以上続く小豆島の有機農園でみなさんとお会いできるのを楽しみにしています！
Welcome to Cosmo in Yukien!

“Cosmo in Yukien (Yukien means organic farm)” is named after the owners’ wish to make a cozy place for everyone including aliens.
The owners(Jiro-san and Sanae-san) started this organic farm after reading the book called "complex pollution" written by Sawako Ariyoshi about 45 years ago.
They were shocked by the content of this book, and it made them want their family to eat safe and reliable foods, therefore they started this farm with no use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides.
They use goat manure and yard/kitchen waste as compost.

At the farm, you can make barley miso by using barley which is harvested here and you can also experience the unique culture of this area.

For the past 15 years, more than 100 wwoofers from all over the world have visited their farm.

The owners love to chat , so please enjoy your time chatting with them while your stay here ?
