We are alternative people, and live an organic mentality
Since moving from the city to the country we have gradually become more alternative as we pursue a sustainable life style. Now we produce a majority of our own food and energy on the farm but are still reliant upon the super market for some specialty items and

We do not drink much. If WWOOFers want to drink, they can bring their own drink but it has to be a little amount and of course it must not interfere with WWOOFing

We have an off grid two story greenhouse set up on the farm called the pipehouse. Its a multi-purpose building and serves as wwoofer lodging, workshop, processing and packing area for vegetables, kitchen and relaxation space. Its powered by solar electricty and we have a shower which uses a wood fired rocket stove for heating.
  • Normally WWOOFers cook food for themselves using ingredients we give

In general we ask that wwoofers cook their own meals at the pipehouse. I provide staple groceries from the market once a week and we have a surplus of organic vegetables and other produce from the farm.
We give ingredients and WWOOFers cook meals themselves, so they can cook anything they like usually

We have hosted volunteers on our farm since 2012 and greatly value all the friendships we have developed with people from all over the world throughout the years. Our farm and project is in a small village in the mountains and it is a bit like a start up as we develop our business and infrastructure on the farm. We have found that people with an independent, entrepreneurial mindset will thrive and benefit greatly from the experience as the work is varied and generally exciting.
WE ARE IN URGENT NEED OF WWOOFers!
We need urgent help both on the farm and with the natural building, farmhouse project we are working on. Any wwoofers with farming/permaculture or natural building/construction or carpentry experience are most welcome but also happy to have those with a keen interest in learning. We also have 3 young and energetic children so best to be prepared.
