札幌市から3時間、函館市から1時間半の場所に位置する北海道道南、八雲町。
太平洋と日本海、日本で唯一二つの海を持つ町でもあり木彫り熊、バター飴の発祥地であり、ふたつの海から水揚げされる様々な海の幸をはじめ、北海道でも有数の酪農地帯で乳畜産製品や畑作物など山の幸も豊富で、温泉郷でもある町です。朝日や日の出も綺麗で、夜空に輝く無数の星も見られます。約100年前の銭湯をリノベーションしたゲストハウスとレストランを運営しているのと同時に第一次産業を絡めた観光のＰＲも行っています。ゲストハウスでは、世界中から来るお客さんとの交流もできますし、ツアーを一緒に作ったり、ゲストハウスの運営についても学べます。レストラン(昔の銭湯の雰囲気を感じながら食事ができる珍しいレストランです）プロのシェフの方が振る舞う地産地消にこだわった、様々なメニューがあり、料理が好きな方は調理方法を学べたり、食べるのが好きな方はレストランのメニュー開発にも参加できたりします。観光ＰＲについては、八雲町の魅力を世界に広める為のイベント作りや国内、外のツアー会社、学校と提携したりと様々な事に取り組んでおりますので、
興味のある方はどんどん参加していただきたいです。
主な作業内容としては、（多少の変動あり）
畑作業・ゲストハウス業務全般・レストラン業務全般・イベント行事のサポート・地場商品のPRと商品開発等。地域の内外の人たちと力を合わせて、八雲町の活性化につなげ、より良い地域作りにお力添え頂ければ幸いです。

14日より短い滞在では、お互いを理解する前にお別れとなったり、仕事の魅力を感じる前に終わってしまうこともあり、もったいなく感じることがありました。
そのため**14日未満の滞在はお受けしておりません**。

また、ご希望の到着日が**土日祝日の場合**、スタッフの対応可能時間は**13時〜17時**となっております。

YAKUMO town is 3 hours from Sapporo city,1-hour half from Hakodate city.
We able to get really fresh seafood from different 2 kind of sea (The Sea of Japan and Pacific Ocean) also mountain vegetable, field crop, fresh milk, cheese, etc.,,,.
We have lots of hot springs and you can see perfect starry sky, beautiful sunrise and sunset as well. We’re running guesthouse and restaurant also we’re work in tourism promotion about YAKUMO town.Guesthouse→A wide variety of guests visit from all around the world.
You can have the opportunity to talk with guests of all different nationalities.
We can make local tour and you’ll may learn about management Guesthouse as well.

Restaurant→You can have the opportunity to make lots of recipes and we can make new menu together.if you interesting about tourism promotion/making new tour and some events you can join us!☆we need someone who can help us to /taking care of garden/ clean the restaurant and guesthouse as well/helping festival /making new menu as restaurant.

We truly value the encounters and interactions we have with our helpers, and in order to create a meaningful experience for both sides, we kindly ask for a **minimum stay of 14 days**.
In the past, when stays were shorter than 14 days, we often had to say goodbye before getting to know each other, or before the helper could fully enjoy and understand the work. We felt these opportunities were unfortunately too short and sometimes went to waste.
For this reason, **we are unable to accept stays shorter than 14 days**.
We hope for your kind understanding.
Also, if your preferred arrival day is on a **weekend or national holiday**, please note that staff is only available for check-in **between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM**.
If it is difficult for you to arrive during this time, we kindly ask you to **book and stay at our guesthouse** for the first night.
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
