昔ながらの塩作りしています。大きな平釜に満潮時の海水のみを入れ、撒きを燃料にして、手間をかけて塩作りをしています。又、本部町備瀬は地区は、風光明媚な場所であり、近くには美ら海水族館、備瀬海岸、フクギ並木、世界遺産の今帰仁城址が点在しています。
