We are based in Kamaishi City, Iwate, along the beautiful Sanriku Coast in northern Japan. Our area has a relatively mild climate, surrounded by mountains, forests, and the ocean.
We are creating a simple and sustainable lifestyle rooted in nature. Our activities include growing vegetables and rice, working in the forest, building an eco-house, and developing a self-sufficient energy system using renewable energy.
We are also preparing to open a small café, so there are opportunities to be involved in a variety of creative and hands-on projects.
Typical help includes:
Farming (rice fields and vegetable gardens)
Light forestry work
Simple DIY and building projects
Cooking and helping with meals

Both the mountain and the river are surrounded by a wonderful location where you can feel the four seasons facing Ria's coast in the environment. Also, we are making energy for ourselves and household electricity and car fuel. We are also expanding the panels for photovoltaic power generation and making Tiny House and share-house.
We would prefer someone who enjoys cooking. We also prefer candidates who are 25 years of age or older and have experience as a woofer. (It would be great if you could upload a profile photo.)
Currently, we are looking for one person who can stay with us for 3 to 5 nights sometime between mid-April and early June. (We are in the process of building another tiny house, but for now, our space is limited, so we can only host one WWOOFer at a time.)
If you are interested in a longer stay, we can start by spending the first 2–3 days together and then decide if it’s a good fit for both of us.
We would especially appreciate someone who enjoys cooking.
