Example of Lifestyle (English)
More than 300 hosts nationwide, adding new hosts weekly. Hosts represent a rich diversity of experience and adventure, examples of some of those being, organic farming, health and healing centers, pottery and arts, building and restoring traditional homesteads, organic restaurants, martial arts, dealing with animals, Japanese tea house, pension in ski fields area, eco village, brewing and production of foods, fishing, bee keeping, nature guide centre, centers for the environment, sea kayaking, and more. Some hosts are near cities such as Tokyo and some even in the centre of cities.

We do not drink much. If WWOOFers want to drink, they can bring their own drink but it has to be a little amount and of course it must not interfere with WWOOFing

食事と宿泊場所
WWOOFは交換のしくみです。ホストの仕事を手伝う代わりに、食事と寝る場所が与えられます。お金はまったくかかりません。
食事のときは、ホストと一緒というところが多いですが、場所により、自炊をするところもあります。寝る場所は、ホスト宅の空き部屋を一人で使ったり、ほか のウーファーとシェアしたりするほか、ウーファー用の建物や小屋、またはログハウスやなかにはテントというところもあり、いろいろです。この情報は、登録 後に閲覧できるリストに掲載されています。

WWOOFは、観光の旅ではありません。お膳立てしてあるものにちょっとだけ触れてみるというようなものではありません。ホストの生活の中にどっぷり入り、ホストと同じ目線になって暮らしていきます。
ホストが毎日どのように苦労して野菜を作っているか、どんな思いで作物を育てているか、農薬を使わずどのように対策をしているか、命がどのように育まれて いるか、田舎での暮らしで大変なところはどこか、心が躍るようなものとははなんなのか、どのようにして経済がなりたつのか、地域の人たちとはどのように折 り合いをつけているのか、などをホストと一緒に生活することで、実際に経験していくことができます。

オーガニックな生き方
有機農を学べ ることはもちろんですが、農業をしていないホストからは、オーガニックな生活様式や考え方を学ぶことができます。ホストによりますが、かなりこだわって生活している人たちがいます。合成洗剤や石けんは使わない、化石燃料はあまり使わないように努力している、地域のゴミ拾いをしている、地域通貨を発券している、コンポストトイレを利用、廃材を使って家造り、、、。どんなところにこだわっているか発見してください。

家族や親戚が新しくできた気持ちになります。WWOOFする前の段階で、ホストとやりとりをするうちに親しくなり、実際にホスト宅に到着する時分には、なんだか知った人の家に来た気分になります。家族の仕事を助けよう、という気持ちになれます。
