愛知県の渥美半島で、野菜や米を育てる農家をしながら、その暮らしを体験してもらうファームステイや畑の学校などの体験教育プログラムも行っています。

渥美半島は、大規模な農業生産が盛んな地域ですが、私たちは大量生産型だけではない、持続的な農業の可能性と農地の活用を地域社会に提示してきました。

ただ有機農業を営むだけでなく、田んぼや畑、里山や農村風景など農村資源そのものの価値を活用した体験教育プログラムを通して、物事の捉え方や生き方を見つめ直し、持続可能な社会を作ろうとする意識の形成を促すことが私たちの使命です。

ー私たちの有機農業ー
・「社会のあまりもの」で育てる豚
地域の魚屋のアラや豆腐屋のおから、畑の規格外の野菜など地域の廃棄物を活用して、豚のえさを作っています。酒かすや廃棄されたお菓子など産業廃棄物も利用し、エコフィードを行っています。また、えさを煮る燃料は、里山の木材や海岸の流木を使い、資源の地域内循環を担っています。

・鶏糞を利用した土づくり
地域の名古屋コーチンのふんを発酵させたものを土壌に混ぜ込み、土を作っています。12月から4月にかけて、有機栽培のキャベツ、ブロッコリー、大根を生産し、生協等に出荷しています。

・農家と消費者の立場を超えて、農ある暮らしをつくる
田んぼシェアリングや畑の学校では、単なる農業体験ではなく、参加者が皆で協力してお米や野菜を作っています。自分が食べるものを自分の手でつくるコミュニティとなっています。

渥美半島は徒歩5分のところに海があり、里山もすぐそこにある、自然豊かな半島です。その循環する自然の中で、私たちは野菜やお米、鶏や豚を育て、農ある暮らしを営んでいます。
味噌仕込みやたけのこを使ったメンマ作り、レモンジャム作りなど季節の手仕事も行っています。その中で、「どうやったら持続可能な社会づくりを実践する人を育てられるのか」ということを考えています。

持続可能な社会とは何か、他者と共生するとは何か、どうしたら一人ひとりの意識に働きかけていけるか。このような哲学的な問いを、暮らしの中で一緒に考えてくれる方をお待ちしております。

私たちは、農を現場に多様な手段で持続可能な未来の実現に取り組む若者を支援する、次世代育成プロジェクトも行っております。年間100人程度の学生が訪れる場となっています。自分自身の生き方を探りたい方もぜひ来てください。
In the Atsumi Peninsula of Aichi Prefecture, we offer farm stays and experiential education programs such as farm schools, where visitors can experience the lifestyle of farming while growing vegetables and rice.

The Atsumi Peninsula is a region known for large-scale agricultural production. However, we have been presenting the potential of sustainable agriculture and the utilization of farmland to the local community, beyond just large-scale production.

Our mission is not only to practice organic farming but to use the value of rural resources—such as rice fields, farms, satoyama (traditional woodlands), and rural landscapes—to provide experiential education programs that encourage individuals to reconsider their perspectives and ways of life. Through this, we aim to foster an awareness of building a sustainable society.

- Our Organic Farming -
Pigs raised with "society’s leftovers"
We create pig feed using local food waste, such as fish scraps from local fishmongers, tofu lees from the tofu shop, and imperfect vegetables from the farm. We also use industrial waste like sake lees and discarded sweets to create eco-friendly feed. The fuel for cooking the feed comes from local resources like wood from satoyama and driftwood from the coast, contributing to the local recycling of resources.

Soil creation using chicken manure
We use the fermented manure of the local Nagoya Cochin chickens to enrich the soil. From December to April, we produce organic cabbage, broccoli, and radishes, which are shipped to cooperatives and other markets.

Building a farming life beyond the roles of farmer and consumer
Through our rice field sharing and farm school programs, participants work together to grow rice and vegetables. It is not just an agricultural experience; it is a community where people grow the food they eat with their own hands.

The Atsumi Peninsula is a rich natural area with the sea just 5 minutes away and satoyama right around the corner. In this cyclical natural environment, we grow vegetables, rice, chickens, and pigs, living a farm-based lifestyle.

We also engage in seasonal handwork, such as miso-making, bamboo shoot-based menma (pickled bamboo shoots), and lemon jam-making. Through these activities, we think about how we can raise people who will practice creating a sustainable society.

What is a sustainable society? What does it mean to live in harmony with others? How can we influence individual awareness? We welcome those who are interested in exploring these philosophical questions with us, as we contemplate these issues in our daily lives.

We also run a next-generation development project to support young people working towards a sustainable future using various methods in the field of agriculture. Our site hosts about 100 students annually, and we invite anyone looking to explore their own way of life to join us.

自分たちの暮らしから持続可能な社会を作っていくことを理念に掲げて生活しています。
日々食べる野菜はほぼ全て自分たちの畑のものを使っています。卵と豚肉も全て自分たちで育てたものです。自給できないものもできるだけ地元のお店のものや無添加などにこだわったものを買っています。
食べ残しや生ごみは土に返して循環しています。
無駄なエネルギーはなるべく使わないことを心がけています。
農業や哲学、文化人類学等に関する本をたくさん持っていて、本の部屋があります。常に学びをし続けています。
wwooferさんや研修生、大学生のインターン生など、常にいろんな人が滞在しており、お互いに学びあっています。
We live with the philosophy of creating a sustainable society starting from our own way of life. Almost all of the vegetables we eat daily come from our own farm. The eggs and pork we consume are also grown by us. For items we can't produce ourselves, we make a point to buy from local shops, choosing products that are additive-free whenever possible.

Food scraps and organic waste are returned to the soil, contributing to a sustainable cycle. We strive to minimize the use of unnecessary energy in our daily lives.

We have a collection of books on agriculture, philosophy, cultural anthropology, and more, which are stored in our "book room." We are always learning and growing.

Various people, including WWOOFers, trainees, and university interns, stay with us regularly, and we all learn from each other in a shared environment of growth and exchange.
