　テレビはありません。早寝早起きをこころがけて、なるべく電気を使わないようにしています。自分たちで間伐した薪を風呂、暖房に使い、ガス、灯油の消費を減らすようにしています。可燃ごみは燃料に、生ごみは飼料や堆肥の材料にしています。平飼いの鶏の糞や、燃やした薪の灰を刈り草や落ち葉と混ぜて、堆肥を作っています。

Message To WWOOFers In Japanese

　私たちは現在、夫婦二人だけの生活で、この地に移住して、15年目になります。海にも山にも近く、農業だけでなく、林業、漁業も含め、自然に根ざした、総合的で自給的な生活をめざしています。米も野菜も作り、鶏も飼っています。植林の間伐をして、薪や小屋造りの材料にしています。
　しかし、そのいずれの分野においても、初心者であり、専門家ではありません。したがって、何か専門的なことを身に着けたいと考えて来られても、詳しいことをお教えすることはできません。逆に何か専門的な知識や技術を持っている方に来ていただいて、こうした生活の展開を手助けしてほしいと考えています。もちろん、そうでなくても、ただ旅の途中であるとか、自然に興味があるとか、様々な経験をしてみたいと思っている人なら、どなたでも、私たちと,この地での生活を共にし、楽しんでもらうことが出来ると思います。
